The 2017 Mermaid National Championship is taking place from the 5th – 11th of August at Skerries Sailing Club. A practice race will be held on Saturday the 5th followed by 6 days of Championship racing from the 6th – 11th. This year is a particularly special one for the Dublin Bay Mermaid class as it marks the fleet’s 85th anniversary. Skerries Sailing Club along with the Mermaid Sailing Association are encouraging people to register in advance of the event via the following online entry form:

The form is very quick and easy to complete and payment will be collected at the event. If you do not have your 2 crew confirmed yet then simply put in TBC (to be confirmed). Every entry that is received via this online form by midnight on Sunday the 30th of July will be entered into a draw to win a brand new UK McWilliams Mermaid jib. It must be stressed that only those entered via the online form by the deadline will be included in the draw.
