The August bank holiday weekend is upon us and that can mean only one thing, Yes! it’s the start of Mermaid Week.
This year all roads lead to Galway for a week of sailing and fun in the sun we hope.
Going by the results of the regattas so far this year it is very difficult to predict a winner, and any number of boats are in with a shout.
It all kicks off on Saturday 3rd Aug with the practice race first gun at 17.30.
The serious stuff starts on Sunday 4th with 2 races being run. The Race1 is scheduled for 14.30 with Race2 immediately afterwards.
The rest of the week there will be one race per day with the start times as follows.
Race3 Monday 5th…15.00
Race4 Tuesday 6th…14.30
Race5 Wedensday 7th…15.00
Race6 Thursday 8th…15.30
Race7 Friday 9th…11.30
The Crew Race is scheduled for Tusday after the championchip race.
